The Supreme Court and the Supreme Procuratorate of P.R.China, jointly with other relevant departments, recently abolished four judicial interpretations and 11 additional judicial documents.
The action comes after a centralized review was conducted on judicial interpretations and documents issued between 1997 and 2011.
The abolished judicial interpretations and documents cover numerous issues including death penalty appellate procedures and confessions of criminal suspects extorted by torture.
The repealed documents are no longer in effect as of April 8, 2013.
