It was reported that Pou Chen Group, the worldwide largest brand-shoe manufacturer, would invest USD120m in Fanchang, Anhui province to build a plant. This project would commence on construction at the beginning of June and it would formally put into production at the beginning of 2008. Such project was also the biggest investment project at county level in Anhui Province up to now.
So far, Taiwan Pou Chen Group is the worldwide largest brand-shoe manufacturer, which manufactures international famous brand shoes such as Adidas and Nike. Its industry centers are widely distributed in such countries and regions as Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and the United States, and plants have been established in the Mainland of China, such as in Dongguang of Guangdong province, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Kunshan of Jiangsu province, and Yangzhou and Shanggao of Jiangxi province.
