China's GDP grows 11.5% in 1H, CPI rising

China's gross domestic product (GDP) totaled 10.68 trillion yuan in the first half of the year, a growth of 11.5 percent year on year, according to latest figures provided by the National Bureau of Statistics Thursday.
The growth was 0.5 percentage points higher from the same period of 2006.

China consumer price index (CPI) rose 4.4 percent in June compared with a year ago, Li Xiaochao, spokesman with the National Bureau of Statistics, said on Thursday.

CPI in the first half of this year increased 3.2 percent year on year.
