Twenty-five major technologies under four categories in China's textile sector are calling for solutions, according to a report by China National Textile And Apparel Council. The current technology in China is not advanced enough and companies need to find better technologies.
Here are the four categories and the specific technologies needed:
1. New textile materials and advanced processing technologies
1) Carbon fiber, aramid fiber, polysulfonamide fiber and new-generation polyethylene and vinylon fiber;
2) PTT, PEN and CO-PET technologies;
3) PLA and Lyocell fibers;
4) Soybean protein fiber products;
5) Homemade technologies and equipments for pro-terephthalic acid (PTA);
6) Production processes of super fine direct-spun PET POY;
7) High-grade composite non-woven fabrics;
8) New materials for medical protective wear;
9) Film-structure materials and new roofing materials;
10) Non-woven fabrics and chemical fiber net for agricultural use.
2. Advanced spinning, weaving and finishing process technologies, covering cotton spinning, wool spinning, flax spinning, silks and knitting.
Specific cotton spinning technologies include, state-of-the-art cotton spinning technologies, compact spinning, rotor spinning technologies and intelligent wide-size shuttle-less loom technologies.
Detail wool spinning technologies are the Solo-Spun technologies, machine washable finishing for worsted fabric technologies, spinning technologies of rare animal fiber and wool slenderizing technologies.
Specific flax spinning technologies include fiber de-gumming, post-treatment and refined dry flax and stretch-breaking processes.
Silk technologies cover plastic silk processing and post-treatment of silk products.
Specific knitting technologies include continuous pre-treatment of knitted fabric, high-grade finishing technologies and computerized seamless underwear processing technologies.
3.Environmental textile products and processing technologies, such as micro-suspension dyeing technologies, plasma processing technologies, biologic enzyme treatment technologies, the research and development of environmental dyes and auxiliaries, automatic screen making technologies and digital print technologies.
4. Information-based and quick response technologies, including the research and development of enterprises resource program (ERP) tailored for textile sector, the e-business platform in the textile sector, computer integrated manufacturing system (CIMS) and production information monitoring and management system.
