It was known recently that Fortune 500 enterprise 3M started to establish an Asia & Pacific medical equipment production base at Pujiang High-tech Park in Caohejing Development Zone, Shanghai in order to supply 3M medical equipment to Chinese and Asia & Pacific markets.
The initial investment of this production base was RMB300m (USD40m), covering an area of 50,000㎡. The R&D facilities of production base and production process will comply with the standard of 3M world-class medical equipment production base. This was the 7th 3M production base in China and 5 of them locate in Shanghai. As reported, June this year they would establish the 8th production base in Fengxian, Shanghai.
